How Can itchy Rashes Along With Joint Pain Be Treated?

I am I am a 50 yr old woman and for about 5 yrs now I have been getting hairier. I want to sleep a lot; as in over 8 hrs a day, I have severe joint pain. Sometimes I have itchy rashes. I also am taking Paxil for severe hot flashes and it seems to be working, finally. I am post menopausal. I sometimes feel quite scatterbrained and often am forgetful. Any suggestions as to what is going on with me?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. You can also take antihistamines like pheniramine for itching.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
